Rescue
Gets you back on the road. Quick fixes for common issues such as pad replacement, cork adjustment, minor damage and mechanical repairs. Rescue service includes a 'tune-up' to improve general playability.
Revive
The 'MOT'. Regular service to keep your instrument playing smoothly. Includes pad and key adjustments, light cleaning, lubrication, and mechanical regulation without full disassembly.
Rehabilitate
The Full Service. Complete disassembly to allow thorough cleaning, new lubrication, mechanical regulation, pad treatment and seating or replacement, final adjustments for optimal performance. This prolongs the life of your current setup and will play like new!
Restoration
The 'Repair Shop'. Complete re-pad and restoration of well-used, well-loved or damaged instruments. A full mechanical overhaul, deep clean, and a fresh set of pads allows your instrument to play perfectly for many years to come. Vintage and modern instruments will often play better than when new!

With almost 40 years experience as both a professional musician and woodwind technician, I fully understand the importance of having a perfectly functioning instrument. My repair expertise covers saxophones, clarinets and flutes of all types and I take pride in a meticulous attention to detail for every instrument I work on. Nothing leaves the workshop that I wouldn’t be happy to perform on.

The new Sheffield Woodwind Rescue shop offers a range of instruments and mouthpieces that have been carefully selected and fully serviced to play at their very best for years to come.
Each instrument is completely stripped, deep cleaned, and carefully re-built with any defective parts replaced. A professional setup-up and thorough play-test ensures that your instrument plays as well, or even better than when it was new!
For peace of mind, all instruments come with a 3-month warranty and a 12-month service in the workshop. Seven day trials also available on request.
